How we work together when you shop with The Aesthetic Cove. Plain English, no fine-print games.
Welcome to The Aesthetic Cove. By using theaestheticcove.com or buying from us, you agree to what's set out below. We're a small Australian studio based in Sydney, New South Wales, and we design and hand-make personalised acrylic and timber pieces to order. If something here doesn't make sense, email admin@theaestheticcove.com and we'll talk it through.

Our products are made to order
Almost everything we sell is personalised and cut to order on our own machines, so each piece is made specifically for you once your order comes through. A few things worth knowing:
- Because items are handmade, small variations in finish, cut and colour are normal and are not faults.
- Acrylic and timber are natural and manufactured materials, so grain, tone and finish can vary slightly between pieces.
- Screens show colour differently. The shade you see on your phone or laptop may not be an exact match to the finished piece.
Placing an order
When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. Your order is confirmed once we send your order confirmation email and your payment has gone through. We may need to decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, there's a pricing error, or we can't verify your payment. If that happens, we'll let you know and refund anything you've paid for that order.
Personalisation, spelling and proofs
You're responsible for the details you give us. Please check names, spelling, dates, numbers and any uploaded files carefully before you order, because we make your piece exactly as the details come through.
- For some products, such as acrylic signage, we send a digital mock-up for you to approve before we cut. Once you approve the mock-up, that's what we make.
- We can't remake or refund a piece for free if the error was in the details you supplied or the proof you approved.
- If you spot a mistake after ordering, message us straight away. If your order hasn't been cut yet we'll do our best to fix it, but we can't promise changes once production has started.
Files and artwork you send us
When you upload a name, logo, photo or other artwork for personalisation, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it doesn't break anyone else's rights. You give us permission to use that artwork for the purpose of making and delivering your order. We may decline artwork we believe is unlawful, offensive, or infringes someone else's intellectual property.
Our own designs, templates, photos, text and branding stay our property. Please don't copy or resell them.
Pricing and payment
Prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD). If you're shopping from outside Australia, any price shown in your local currency is an estimate from an automatic converter, and your payment is processed in AUD by your bank at their rate. Payment is taken at checkout through our payment providers. We don't see or store your full card details.
Processing and shipping
Processing time and postage are two separate things. Choosing an urgent or express option speeds up how quickly we make your order, and in the case of express postage, how quickly it's sent. It does not control how long the carrier takes to deliver once it leaves us. Full details are on our Shipping and Returns page. Once an order is handed to the carrier, delivery timing is in their hands.
Returns, refunds and cancellations
Because our pieces are personalised and made to order, we don't offer refunds, returns or exchanges for change of mind. Please read product descriptions and approve your proofs carefully before ordering. You can find the full details on our Shipping and Returns page.
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If an item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, you're still covered.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You're also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they aren't of acceptable quality and the failure doesn't amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms removes or limits those rights.
Discount codes and promotions
From time to time we run promo codes and offers. Unless we say otherwise, one code applies per order, codes can't be combined, they have no cash value, and we can change or end a promotion at any time. Some codes are limited to first-time customers or have a minimum spend.
Using our website
Please use our site for genuine shopping and browsing. Don't try to interfere with how it runs, copy its content for resale, or use it for anything unlawful. We may update, pause or remove parts of the site without notice.
Our liability
We put real care into every piece, but to the extent allowed by law, we're not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses that are outside our reasonable control, such as carrier delays once an order has shipped. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our business changes. The version on this page is the one that applies to your order at the time you place it. We'll update the date at the top when we make changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
